Peel and boil the potatoes for 20 minutes. Don't cut them and don't over boil them. I usually put the potatoes in just a little before they boil. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a separate pot mix soup, 1 1/2 cups of the cheese, sour cream, and onion flakes. Put the potatoes through cheese grater.
Gently mix the grated potatoes with the soup and put into a buttered cake pan. I use a 9 X 13 pan.
Put the remainder of the cheese on the top of the casserole. Then put the crushed corn flakes on the top.
