From an old friend back in South Dakota. A delicious twist on banana bread. The frosting alone is good enough to make and put on traditional banana bread.
Ingredients
Bars
1 1/2 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp shortening
2 eggs
1 banana
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Frosting
2 tbsp soft butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 banana
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Beat the bars on medium speed for 2 minutes. Spread in a 13x9 pan.
Bake bars for 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees.
Mix all the frosting together. When the bars are baked and cool, add the frosting.
